...Early Season Winter Storm to impact most of the Midsouth
Wednesday into Thursday...

.The combination of Gulf moisture interacting with colder
temperatures near the surface and the lift from an approaching
upper low will produce light snow across the Midsouth. At times
the precipitation may be mixed with sleet or freezing rain. The
heaviest amounts of snow will be seen across portions of
Northeast Arkansas...the Bootheel of Missouri and Northwest
Tennessee. Precipitation is expected to end early Thursday across
the south and during the midday hours over the north.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM WEDNESDAY
TO 6 AM CST THURSDAY...

* WHAT...light snow...sleet and light freezing rain. Minor snow
  and sleet accumulations of less than a half of an inch. Ice
  accumulations of up to a few hundredths of an inch.

* WHERE...Portions of North Mississippi.

* WHEN...From 3 AM Wednesday to 6 AM CST Thursday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...bridges...overpasses and secondary roads
  will be most vulnerable to the falling wintry precipitation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads.
Slow down and use caution while driving. The latest road
conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by
calling 5 1 1.

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of East Arkansas...
the Missouri Bootheel...North Mississippi...and West Tennessee.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight

Areas of light freezing rain mixed with snow flurries or sleet
will be possible across Northern Mississippi late tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

An upper level low pressure system will bring chances for
accumulating snow...sleet and possibly light freezing rain across
a large portion of the midsouth from early Wednesday into midday
Thursday. A winter weather advisory has been issued for most of
the area.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters are welcomed to submit winter precipitation types...
amounts...and road reports to the NWS Memphis forecast office.
