Baptist Union County receives Leapfrog’s ‘A’ Safety Rating
NEW ALBANY, MISS., Nov. 15, 2018 –
Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County has been awarded an ‘A’ patient safety rating in the fall 2018 Hospital Safety Score by Leapfrog, a national patient safety watchdog group.
The safety score is calculated based on several core measures, including safe practice measures, surgical care improvement measures, and patient safety indicators. Leapfrog’s Hospital Safety Score® assigns A, B, C, D, and F grades to more than 2,500 U.S. hospitals and is calculated by top patient safety experts, peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public.
The hospital has been consistently recognized by Leapfrog with an ‘A’ patient safety rating—furthering its reputation as the area’s premier health care provider, according to Baptist Union County CEO and administrator Walter Grace.
Baptist Union County’s other accolades include being named by HealthGrades as a winner of the Outstanding Patient Experience Award and Patient Safety Excellence Award.
Baptist Union County offers a variety of health care services, including adult and pediatric inpatient services, labor and delivery, outpatient and laser surgery, 3D mammography, and a 24-hour emergency room.
