Arctic air will arrive late Monday afternoon and evening. Rain will change over to snow Monday night with accumulations possible by Tuesday morning. The greatest risk for accumulating snow will be over north Mississippi and portions of west Tennessee. Wind chill values may drop into the single digits during the overnight and early morning hours Tuesday through Thursday. Some locations may experience wind chill readings near zero degrees, mainly early Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

1-2 inches snow possible over portions of Northeast Mississippi and West Tennessee near the Tennessee River. 1 inch or less possible elsewhere.

Increasing clouds, with a high near 60. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Monday Night
Rain before midnight, then snow. Low around 24. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming north northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

.An approaching weather system will bring areas of snow Monday
night into early Tuesday. The greatest snow accumulations should
be over northern and northeastern Mississippi, and portions of
southwest Tennessee near the Tennessee River.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Plan on difficult travel conditions,
  including during the morning commute on Tuesday. Total snow
  accumulations of up to two inches are expected.

* WHERE...Portions of North Mississippi and West Tennessee.

* WHEN...From midnight Monday night to 9 AM CST Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for reduced visibilities at
  times.
