JACKSON, Jan 11, 2020 – Melissa Banks and Tameka Dyon announced that they are hosting an event to encourage women entrepreneurs. The Black Women’s Business Expo (BWBE) is a full-day event being held on January 18, 2020 at the Clyde Muse Center in Pearl, MS. The goal is to bring experts together to give talks on an array of entrepreneurial subjects that foster learning, inspiration and idea generation and provoke conversations that matter.
“BWBE has certainly been a labor of love. What’s exciting about this inaugural event is that we are bringing a room filled with black women entrepreneurs together for networking, education and motivation. We are building a community of positive, action oriented doers that bring creativity and innovation to life in Mississippi,” shared Dyon. “We are here to push them past those limiting beliefs that may have been holding them back and show them a path to creating the entrepreneurial success they’ve always wanted,” stated Banks.
The Central Mississippi Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women has partnered with the pair to produce the event. Those attending the event can expect educational panels, expert speakers, vendors, entertainment and inspirational fun. The organizers also plan to honor the top women in business from all over the state and advertise them in the premier issue of the BWBE e-magazine.
