The Biscuits and Jam Farmer’s Market here in New Albany will be a bit different this year.
We spoke with Mary Jennifer Russell who stated that the market will be done in a Road-side stand-style this year. What this means is that a farmer can set up during the day, probably starting around lunchtime, to sell their vegetables and fruit. The public can check Instagram or Facebook each day to see who the farmer is for the day.
Unfortunately, because of COVID-19, the market this year will not have the musicians, hot food, or large gatherings that normally happen at the Thursday night market. The organizers hope you will come out and support the farmers by buying locally starting June 1st.
